White foamed acrylic 6110 Signmakers tape

White foamed acrylic 6110 Signmakers tape is part of our high bond range.  Signmakers tape is a white Very High Bond double sided foamed acrylic.  Often used in the sign and display industry to hold signs, boards, panels, strips, trims and profiles.  6110 is also used in the construction industry for panel production.  It bonds well to high energy (HSE) and low energy (LSE) surfaces.

Ideal when bonding metals and plastics, particularly when a high strength is required.  Some applications include perspex displays, light boxes, foamex / dibond signs and metal displays.

White foamed acrylic 6110 Signmakers tape has the ability to adhere tremendously well to most metals even steel (when bonding steel 7000gramm per 25mm).  When used correctly the bond strength achieved is remarkably strong and can potentially replace welds, screws, rivets or any other mechanical fixing.  With a temperature range of -30°C to 180°C it is an extremely versatile product.

White foamed acrylic 6110 Signmakers tape application

Prior to application of our Signmakers tape the surfaces should be made dry and free of any dirt, dust and grease with the use of CTA IPA cleaner / degreaser.  Use sufficient pressure over the whole surface at room temperature to ensure maximum adhesion to substrates.  Ideal application temperature is between 21 – 40°C.  Elevated temperature following application (60°C for 1 hour) improves adhesion wetout.
