Signs and Displays

Structural tapes and adhesives are increasingly being used in the signs and display manufacturing industry to address several challenges. Tapes and adhesives have become the bonding choice for the signs and displays industry because they offer a combination of design freedom, performance, and efficiency that traditional fasteners can’t match.

The following are typical problems within signs and displays manufacture and assembly that can be solved using adhesives, tapes and sealants:

ProblemSolutionProduct Category
Metal fasteners spoiling aestheticsStructural tapes and adhesives are invisible once applied, allowing for clean, seamless finishesStructural Adhesives 2155
Drilling and welding can crack or warp delicate materials such as acrylic, polycarbonates, aluminium composites and glassAdhesives and tapes distribute load evenly and avoid localised stress points, reducing risk of material damageStructural adhesives 2102

Here are some typical applications for adhesives and tapes in the signs and display sector:

  • Mounting faceplates, trims, or letters
  • Nylon locators to dibond
  • Laminating decorative panels or acrylic sheets
  • Bonding frames and structural supports
  • Attaching LED modules or lighting components
  • Fixing graphics to uneven or textured surfaces

We believe that adhesives and tapes are valued in the signs and display sector for their ability to provide strong, durable, and often lightweight bonds that can withstand harsh conditions such as temperature fluctuations, vibrations, and moisture exposure. They also allow for faster production cycles and offer flexibility in terms of design and material compatibility.
