Pipe thread sealant dripstop 940 is a high-speed thread sealant for use on inactive metals such as stainless steel and aluminium used in chemical process piping. Dripstop 940 is formulated to cure without the necessity of a primer. Dripstop 940 has been shown to be compatible for use within diesel exhaust systems using DEF according to ISO-22241 through independent 3rd party verification. Dripstop 940 withstands high pressures, sealing up to 250psig steam at 400°F (204°C) continuous service while maintaining its chemical inertness. It can seal stainless steel nuts and bolts and contains Teflon. Ideal for sealing both hydraulic and pneumatic fitments, continuous service and maintains chemical inertness, stops DEF leaks, ISO22241-2approval for DEF use, high speed thread sealant for use on inactive metals and seals CNG, Gasoline, Diesel and oil. Typical Applications include plated flare fittings, pulp and paper mills, refinery piping, instrumentation fittings, waste treatment plants, textile equipment, piping for chlorine & caustic sodas.
Through rigorous Independent Third Party Lab Testing, Dripstop 940 has been shown to be compatible for use within diesel exhaust systems that utilize DEF – according to ISO-22241 standards.
UL Classification – File MH14222 Classified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. as to fire hazard only. 940 Pipe Sealant with Teflon . Fire hazard is small. No flash point in liquid state. Ignition temperature 447ºC (837ºF). For use in devices handling gasoline, petroleum oils, natural gas (pressure not to exceed 300 psig), butane and propane not exceeding 2 in. pipe size. 29R9.
