Application of Premium Glazing Silicone
Surface Preparation – Ensure all surfaces (glass and frame) are clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or old sealant. CTA IPA – isopropyl alcohol) for cleaning.
Masking – Apply masking tape to the edges of the joint to ensure clean lines and protect adjacent surfaces.
Cutting the Nozzle – Cut the silicone cartridge nozzle at a 45° angle to suit the joint size. Puncture the inner seal if necessary.
Application – Use a caulking gun to apply a continuous, even bead of silicone along the joint. Avoid gaps or air pockets by maintaining consistent pressure.
Tooling – Immediately tool the sealant using a spatula or gloved finger to ensure good contact with the surfaces and smooth finish. Remove masking tape while the sealant is still wet.
Curing – Allow the silicone to cure fully and do not disturb or expose to water during curing.
