Description
High temperature translucent masking tape is a thermoplastic film tape designed to withstand 177°C and short term of 225°C. It is a thin PET film, coated with a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive. These tapes are specially formed to be able to handle high temperatures and mask off specific areas when putting metal components through a powder coating oven. Available in Translucent Blue, Red or Green.

This range of high temperature resistance thermoplastic translucent film tapes are constructed with a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) carrier with a pressure sensitive silicine adhesive applied to one side. Ideal for use in many industries from Graphics & Artistic industries to the Powder coat industry. Both film tapes offer a high tack and adhesion for masking protection without the adhesive transfer or residue upon removal from the substrates.

CTA 16002 pre powder coat seam sealer is a high temperature white sealant adhesives, designed to cope with powder coat temperatures. This unique product has been designed to air dry and be passed through the oven bake cycle, whilst simultaneously the powder is being applied (i.e. one pass through the powder coat oven).
How to apply high temperature translucent masking tape
Before applying high temperature translucent masking tape, surfaces should be clean, dry and free of any dirt, dust and grease. For the best results, we recommend using CTA IPA Cleaner Degreaser.
- Use sufficient pressure over the whole surface at room temperature to ensure maximum adhesion to substrates.
- The ideal application temperature is between 15 – 25°C.
