Description
Transparent laminating and potting polyurethane adhesive is a two component product, which has been designed to be clear when bonding glass or polycarbonate sheets. This product is quick curing and suitable for applications where optical clarity is required. Such as, laminating of glass, polycarbonate, acrylic or perspex sheets. Due to its clear cured state it is also suitable for potting applications.
Our transparent potting compound is solvent free and resistant to water, dilute acids, alkalis and aliphatic oils. This product is often used when two clear components require an invisible join due to the adhesive being clear.
Cure time: 20-30 minutes @ 20°C
Temperature range: -20°C to +120°C
Available in 50ml cartridges (400ml cartridges available upon request).

Our 2530 polyurethane adhesive maintains elasticity and has excellent flexibility even after curing, making it ideal for applications where thermal expansion, vibration, or movement occurs.
Strong Adhesion and bonds well to plastics, metals, glass, wood, and composites, which is essential in multi-material assemblies. Additionally the 2530 transparent PU has low shrinkage and is a benefit for delicate components and maintains bond line integrity.
Aesthetics & Transparency Clear formulations allow visibility of internal components (ideal for electronics or decorative applications like LED encapsulation). Great for use where visual inspection is required, without removing the encapsulant.
When laminating, our clear PU offers excellent bonding for multi-layer films, panels, or decorative laminates—while retaining transparency. Also absorbs stress during thermal cycling which protects the laminated materials from delamination or failure.
Potting-Specific Benefits include electrical insulation and provides robust insulation and protection of electronic components from moisture, dust, and corrosion. Combined with the flexible aspect to help absorb mechanical shock or vibration, which is critical for sensitive components. Encapsulation prevents ingress of water or moisture, extending component life in harsh environments.

How to apply two part transparent potting PU
Before dispensing, our two part transparent laminating and potting polyurethane, ensure that surfaces are clean, dry and free of any dirt, dust and grease. For the best results, we recommend using CTA IPA Cleaner Degreaser.
- Use sufficient pressure over the whole surface at room temperature to ensure maximum adhesion to substrates.
- The ideal application temperature is between 15 – 25°C.
- Primers can increase the bond durability and surface tension for difficult to bond materials. We recommend CTA Primer or CTA UV Identifiable Primer to achieve the best results.
- Ensure uniform stress distribution.
