Description
Thread-locking fluid, also known as Threadlockers or Anaerobic adhesives, is a single-component adhesive applied to the threads of fasteners like screws and bolts. Its primary purpose is to prevent loosening, leakage, and corrosion. Known as Anaerobic lockers they are a type of adhesive that will cure in the absence of oxygen between close fitting metal parts.
As a result, they can be used on all threaded fasteners to:
- Prevent Loosening caused by vibration, shock and thermal expansion.
- Prevent Leaking
- Prevent Corrosion

1225 Screwlock (Purple – Low strength)
Low strength threadlocker 1225 purple is a low strength anaerobic threadlocker, designed to allow easy disassembly of metal threaded components. CTA 1225 purple is well suited small diameter screws and low strength materials. Also, for use in metal fastener applications where prevention of vibrational loosening is required. 1225 is ideal on set screws, threaded nuts, bolts, screws, hex and slot driven components, including keyed fasteners.
1226 Nutlock (Blue – Medium Strength)
Medium strength, oil-tolerant threadlocker 1226 blue cures anaerobically to lock all types of metal threaded fasteners. 1226 is well suited to a number of applications including: replacing lock washers and plastic inserts; locking machine tool access bolts; locking and sealing gear box and drive shaft bolts; securing conveyor roller bolts; locking bearing cover cap screws. Also useful on “as received fasteners”, where cleaning is not possible or where minor oil contaminants are present.
1227 Studlock (Green – High Strength)
High strength threadlocker 1227 green is designed for ultimate strength metal fastener applications, such as studs into motor housings. 1227 is considered to be a permanent thread locker and can eliminate the need to double nut or weld critical heavy-duty assemblies. Due to the viscosity of 1227, it is suited to both fine and medium threaded metal parts that will not require periodic disassembly.
1228 Studlock (Red – High Strength)
High strength bolt locker 1228 red cures anaerobically to lock all types of metal threaded fasteners where controlled torque/tension is required. 1228 is well suited to a number of applications including: locking and sealing of large threaded studs, bolts and fasteners (>20mm diameter); This tread locker is ideal for heavy duty industrial applications an example of which is it’s use for locking studs into motor housings.
1230 Pre-Assembled Wicking Grade (Green – Medium Strength)
Penetrating Grade Threadlocker 1230 Green is a medium strength thread locker with very low viscosity designed for the locking of threaded fasteners. This product will suit pre-assembled parts.
1242 Nutlock (Blue – Medium Strength)
Semi-Permanent Threadlocker 1242 Blue is a medium strength, general purpose thread locker. It is particularly suited to less active substrates such as stainless steel.
1272 Studlock (Red – High Strength, High Temperature)
High Strength, High Temperature Threadlocker 1272 Red is designed for the permanent locking of threaded fasteners and studs.
